Pete Coppolillo

Dr. Pete Coppolpete and henry illo is a wildlife ecologist and the Executive Director of Working Dogs for Conservation in Bozeman, Montana. Pete has had the privilege of helping carry out conservation work in some of the world’s wildest places, in Africa, Asia, Latin America and here in North America.

“Working abroad has made me deeply grateful for our public lands and the opportunities they provide.  Hunting can be my recreation, exercise, family time, and a way to reconnect with the natural world.”  Pete also recognizes the diversity of other public land users, including wild species like grizzlies and wolves, who can make hunting more difficult. “It’s all part of the experience. Accommodating other uses and diverse wildlife, as well as being grateful for public land, are both important values I’d like to share with others, especially my aspiring young conservationist.”
