You are invited to join us on Thursday, September 14, 2023, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM Mountain Time, for a virtual livestream of an innovative talk at the intersection of art and biodiversity conservation: Art & Activism: Creating, Promoting & Supporting Activism Through Art by Artist Luana Rubin.
The talk will be happening live in Boulder Colorado, and you will have the unique opportunity to watch and listen along with our live audience. To attend the Art & Activism livestream, please register here.
This inspiring event is created by Endangered Species Coalition in partnership with Cool Boulder, Sierra Club, and CU Environmental Center, as part of the Little Creatures exhibit and workshop series.
You’ll hear from Luana Rubin, a Colorado-based, internationally recognized artist and designer with over 40 years experience in the garment, textile and quilting industries. She is a musician, photographer and philanthropist, who leverages her artworks to help raise awareness about endangered species and address environmental concerns. In addition to viewing Luana’s artwork as inspiration, you will see many examples of textile art and other visual arts that make a point by conveying a message, directly or indirectly. Through photos of activist art, and stories about creative activism, you will take home many ideas for your own activist path.
